What is decision support?
It is sometimes easier for impartial outsiders to work with senior teams as the baggage surrounding the decisions that have been taken (or need to be taken) is irrelevant. With a small number of clients we have worked in a way which we call ‘Decision Support’. As it suggests, this is about supporting the decision-making process with the right kind of input and intervention – and often about gathering the right people together to produce the background information required for senior teams to make informed choices.So if you’re struggling to decide how to achieve your targets in 2009-2010, we should probably sit down now and have a coffee together.
