July 2008: Meeting Output
The most common symptom of unsuccessful meetings is a failure to implement the decisions taken - this usually happens because the meeting output is poorly recorded.
For us at Run, excellent meetings involve capturing meeting output as it is produced and ensuring that both the material produced and the Actions are distributed effectively and quickly. How many meetings do you go to where the actions from the last meeting are circulated by email 5 minutes before the next one, often without the supporting material?
We can help you to circulate the material to participants as soon as the meeting is over by photographing your work and emailing it to you. It's extremely powerful - have a look at an example here - and the good news is that this service is all included as part of the Run Meetings package.

We've been promising for some time to get some more representative photos so that those of you who have not yet visited Run Meetings can get a much better idea of the facilites on offer. And it's finally happened - if you go to the website you'll see there's a Photo Gallery link. Customers have started referring to us as a 'boutique' meeting centre and if you have a look at the gallery, we think you'll see why.
May Open Evening
Our Open Evening with Jack Perry and Lord Hopetoun was a huge success. Jack set out some of his achievements in the reform of Scottish Enterprise, while Lord Hopetoun gave us a flavour of the Hopetoun Estate's ambitions. The weather was kind to us so the guests were milling around the reception area and the courtyard gazebo. We suffered some minor graffiti in the upper meeting rooms, but as the walls are designed to be written on, that's ok!

Have you seen the Run taxis? We've got 5 black cabs based in and around Edinburgh airport covered in yellow sticky notes. They complement the ad we've had in BA Business Life, and the one that's been in the ScotRail Express. There's been some very positive feedback, so something must be working...
Event Diary
We do try to schedule some interesting events in between the meetings that our customers are holding here.
Our next one is on July 23rd from 9.30am to 11.30am. Sandler Training will be delivering a two hour seminar called 'Why Sales People Fail'. It's only £25 per person and you can register on our booking page.
